Welcome to my dear diary, where I share little daily thoughts and bits about myself.I am 25 years old, and about eight months ago I started learning HTML and CSS to build websites. When I first began, I thought it would be much easier than it actually was. One thing I quickly learned is that websites can look very different depending on the screen size, browser, and device being used. Sometimes a site would look fine in Safari, but not in Chrome. Other times it would work on a computer but not on a mobile device. Learning about responsive design, screen sizing, layering, and compatibility was frustrating at first. There were not many tutorials showing exactly how to create the type of websites I wanted, and I spent weeks trying to fix things that did not look right. There were moments when I felt so frustrated that I almost gave up.Even so, I kept trying. I learned that mistakes are a normal part of the process and that perfection is impossible. What matters is continuing to learn and improve. Looking back, I am glad I did not quit. Every mistake taught me something new, and every challenge helped me grow as a web designer. You never know what you can accomplish unless you try.

I have three cats: two male cats and one female cat. I always enjoy meeting other pet lovers, especially cat owners. My two older cats are around 8 years old, and I also have a kitten who is about 8 months old. Their breeds include tabby cats, a Russian Blue, and domestic short-haired cats. The two older cats are already spayed/neutered, but my kitten has not been neutered yet. I plan to have it done soon because we have been dealing with a lot of territorial behavior at home. He has been calling to cats outside, and stray cats, including females, have been coming onto the roofs around the house. He has also started spraying and peeing in places he shouldn't, which has been very frustrating. The howling and mating behavior can be difficult to deal with as well.Although I feel a little sad about the idea of neutering him, I know it will likely help reduce these behaviors and make life more comfortable for both him and our household.

The day felt very long, but one of the best parts of the trip was not having GPS or internet. It allowed me to truly enjoy the scenery and experience the natural beauty of El Salvador without distractions. One thing that surprised me was the drive. Because there are so many hills and mountains, my ears kept popping, almost like I was on an airplane during takeoff or landing. I had never experienced so many steep roads before, but the mountain views were incredible.Along the way, I caught a beautiful glimpse of the sunset as it slowly disappeared behind the mountains. It was one of my favorite moments of the trip.By then, I was very hungry, so we stopped to eat after it got dark. We had a long drive ahead of us. From San Salvador to San Miguel takes about three hours, but before heading there, we also passed through Cuscatlán, which made the journey even longer. By the time we finally reached our destination, it was already around 10:00 p.m.It was a long day of traveling, but seeing the landscapes and experiencing El Salvador made every hour of the trip worth it

It’s heartbreaking to realize that nothing lasts forever. My grandmother, my dad’s mother, is getting older, and Alzheimer’s has changed her so much. I miss the grandmother I grew up with—the one who remembered every story, every face, and always made me feel like one of her favorite grandchildren. When I went to visit her, she hugged me, but she didn’t recognize me. She doesn’t even recognize most of her own sons and daughters anymore, though somehow she still remembers my mom. I couldn’t hold back my tears. It hurt so much to see someone I love slowly disappear in front of me. What breaks my heart even more is knowing that just a year ago she could still have conversations and remember so much more. I keep hoping that somehow those memories will come back, even though I know Alzheimer’s doesn’t work that way. One thing I’ll never forget is that she still keeps my baby picture close to her. Even if she can’t remember my name or recognize my face, that picture is still precious to her. It reminds me that love can remain, even when memories begin to fade. This experience has made me realize how precious time really is. We always think we’ll have more time, but life changes before we’re ready. I want to spend as much time as I can with my grandmother, to care for her, hold her hand, and love her for who she is now, not just who she used to be. I miss the old her every single day, but I’ll treasure every moment I still have with her.

I went on a trip to El Salvador, my dad’s home country where he was born. I stayed there for two weeks, and surprisingly, I felt like it was also a place I could call home. I quickly adjusted to the daily routines, the culture, and the way of life there. This was my second time returning, and the experience felt completely different from before. During my visit, I noticed many changes in the country. I felt a sense of calm and security, especially seeing how much safer people felt. Since President Bukele took office, El Salvador has become known for its major reduction in crime, which has changed the atmosphere for many people. Being able to walk around with more confidence and less fear made the experience feel very different. When we first arrived at the airport, the first challenge was that none of our phones had reception. We couldn’t contact anyone and didn’t have Wi-Fi, so we felt completely stranded. Luckily, we were able to use a military member’s phone to call my parents’ friend, who was already waiting for us. He was parked in the area where people pick up arriving passengers, and after waiting a few minutes, he arrived. We were very happy to have someone who knew El Salvador so well. He could travel around the country without needing GPS, which surprised me because he knew how to get to different cities and places from memory. It was amazing to see someone with so much experience navigating the country. At the same time, I felt frustrated because I couldn’t use my phone, access the internet, or share updates from the trip. I was only able to record videos and take pictures without being able to upload or communicate.he day before we traveled, my mother had supposedly arranged a phone service with a company in El Salvador so we would have coverage during our trip. However, when we arrived, it didn’t work at all. We were disappointed and frustrated because we couldn’t call the phone company for help without having any connection. We had to wait until we finally found Wi-Fi so we could communicate again.
